These rock cycle sample kits are designed for small group work; for example, in a class of 20 students working in groups of four, we would recommend checking out five kits total.
Each Rock Cycle Kit contains 24 total numbered rock samples in a labeled divided plastic container; 10 igneous rocks, 8 sedimentary rocks, and 6 metamorphic rocks. Each kit includes one sample each of:

NOTES:
- Bottles of HCl (hydrochloric acid) for testing effervescence of calcite in rocks like marble and limestone ARE NOT INCLUDED; HCl use requires adult supervision - bottles of dilute, 10% HCl may be reserved separately; we recommend reserving one bottle per class to be monitored by the teacher
